Golden Ratio in Design

November 23 is celebrated as Fibonacci Day.

This day commemorates this highly important mathematical sequence and its introduction to Western European mathematics.

Interestingly, this number was first described as 'Mātrāmeru' by Acharya Pingala in his Sanskrit prosody 'Chandaḥśāstra' that dates to 200 BCE.

This sequence was later popularized in the West in the 12-13th century by Leonardo Bonacci a.k.a. Fibonacci.

Here are a few thoughts on this amazing mathematical series.
