Shabeh Yalda Pomegranate

Shabeh Yalda (or Shab-e Yalda) is a traditional Persian winter solstice celebration that has been celebrated for thousands of years. It is held on the longest night of the year, which falls on the winter solstice. The celebration is a time for families and friends to come together, eat, drink, and stay up late into the night, usually until dawn. It is believed that the longer one stays awake on this night, the longer and healthier their life will be. During the celebration, people often read poems and stories, and eat dried fruit, nuts, and watermelon. Shab-e Yalda is a celebration of light and the victory of good over evil, and is an important cultural tradition in Persian-speaking countries.
