Palm House San Francisco

Palm House Rebranding

San Francisco's Palm House restaurant and bar in Cow Hollow sits at the base of the oldest palm tree in the city. Opened in 2014, the menu is a collection of classic and contemporary twists on tropical cuisine and cocktails from “anywhere a palm tree grows.”

The original brand was historic and Victorian-inspired, but the target clientele—young professionals that live nearby—coveted something fresh and bold. The design elements felt contrived, and a mishmash of styles emerged as staff attempted to pivot the brand without an entire refresh. The space felt detached from the food and drink, and Palm House was ready to build a cohesive customer experience.

Working from the logo up, Bootjack designed a bright, tropical-inspired design to draw in the locals. We created a series of collages starring San Francisco landmarks with images of the tropics around the world. Hello, “San Francisco’s Staycation Destination.”
