Flag of the Racially United States of America

I wanted to try something just a little different here. Reading "Our Time is Now" (Stacey Abrams 2020) got me thinking about how deeply rooted and counter-productive the history of racism is to the progress of a united and indivisible America. As a naturalized citizen who immigrated to California it always felt to me that the public education system taught the inexplicable image that an "American" or an "American political leader" should always be white. Researching the stripes that represent the original 13 colonies I found that one of the original meanings for why the stripes were adopted as white in 1782 was to represent "purity". And just imagine if the flag of the Union represented not only the unity of states but also overcoming our history and making the unity of races a keystone of a strong, indivisible and vibrant America ✊
