Bayern Münich vs Manchester City Playing Cards

I designed and illustrated playing cards to celebrate the UEFA Champions League 2nd-leg quarter-final between Bayern Münich and Manchester City.

I saw an opportunity to create a concept around key figures Thomas Müller and Erling Haaland depicting them as their alter egos; The Joker and Conan the Destroyer respectively. These fictional characters best describe the individual players personalities of these two footballers and make for an interesting layout.

I also found inspiration for the back design of the card using the host city Instanbul as the theme and inspiration for the layout which includes famous landmarks such as the; The Blue Mosque, Bosphorus Bridge and the stadium Atatürk Olympic Stadium that will host the 2023 UEFA Champions League final.

Good luck to City, this could be their year. ✌️
