How to draw hand lettering

Hello guys! Long time no see! So, that's my attempt for the ligature collective 50k competition. I was thinking that just a photo will be pretty boring and I decided to share with you some tips. So, here are some things I've understood since starting with hand lettering.

1. Patience and calm
Be patient and calm. The result you have now is not important. Everything will turn out In the end. I promise you. Just trust the process and don’t give up.

2. A small sketches
Make a small sketches to understand the phrase or word and to find a good options and compositions.

3. Notes
Use the notes right on paper and you won’t forget your thoughts.

4. Tracing paper
Use the tracing paper. It’s a pretty useful tool.
Seriously, just try it!

5. Paper
Don’t take another list of paper if you’ve made a mistake in the current sketch. As I told you, everything will be alright in the end.

6. Rough sketches
Do not be ashamed about rough sketches. Step by step draw more details right above your initial draft and after that, use the tracing paper or something else. Don't try to make a masterpiece at once.

7. DO NOT STOP
And the most important point doesn't stop. I mean it. Forget about all and just enjoy. Do not give up.
