It doesn't matter what kind of designer you are. The industry always wants us to be lightning-fast with our proposals. You know, that "we need it yesterday" kind of situation. But don't worry, I've learned that you got to roll with it. While it's true that you should always negotiate delivery times, they're usually pretty tight for the initial design explorations, like putting together that presentation at the last minute and all that jazz.
