Speaking the Same Language

I am the illustrator/graphic designer for a education sector magazine called schoolceo. I illustrate, layout and creatively direct the project to highlight the amazing on staff writers of the mag.

I am highlighting the article Speaking the Same Language from 2023 vol. 5 issue 2 of the mag. I utilized blender to model the speech bubbles and created a shader to generate the hatching. I Then simplified the image using the outline tool in illustrator and chose a black white base and a vibrant magenta accent color to keep it make it pop and lean into an edgy manga aesthetic.
