New playlist alert! Flow? Check. Vibe? Check. Melanin soul goddesses? Hell fucking check! This is for sure a playlist I’ve spent a while building bits by bits, and it’s because anyone that is closer to me knows how much I looooove listening to R&B and soul in a daily basis. Like, literally, it feeds my soul. And it is not only because of the lively naturalness of this type of music, but I particularly find quite inspiring all the legacy and impact that the genre has had on a historical level as a liberating medium within Afro-descendant communities. So, I wanted to share this list of 700+ songs by black female singers who celebrate, heal and empower themselves and others through their music.
