Amidst the early challenges of the Covid pandemic, lost internship opportunities led me to an unexpected and transformative venture. A simple project - re-epoxying our house’s garage floor with my dad - unexpectedly evolved into a profitable business, shaping my career trajectory.

Facing initial internship setbacks due to the onset of Covid 19, the project caught the attention of a neighbor, sparking the realization of a viable business opportunity. Enlisting my friend Colin, we initiated the business with a focus on quality and efficiency, utilizing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) developed with my dad.

Meticulously adhering to the SOP, we constantly identified process improvements, leading to organic business growth without traditional advertising. Our dedication to efficiency significantly reduced project completion time and increased profit margins, ultimately generating five figures in profit.

Beyond project execution, I refined my business skills, creating a transparent billing structure and ensuring a unified approach through partner training. Prioritizing client experience and maintaining regular communication contributed to positive reputation and satisfaction.

Reflecting on the journey, I decided to transition from the entrepreneurial venture to pursue a computer science degree, marking a significant shift in my career and life trajectory.
