Immigration and Nationality Act

As a daughter of immigrants, I understand how lucky I am to have been born in this country. But I also have the humility to know that this was not of my doing. We are no better or worse than any other human seeking a better life for themselves and their families. To forget the duty of taking care of each other is to forget our very humanity and the rule of law we have already put in place.
