Captive Mind by Czesław Miłosz

Hey Dribbblers! 🤗

This is a collage I made for the cover of The Captive Mind by Czesław Miłosz.

The main reference for this cover was the artist Raoul Hausmann, a founder of the Dada group from Berlin, who developed photomontage / collage as a tool of satire and political protest.

Czesław Miłosz's book created an instant controversy for its analysis of modern society which allowed itself to be hypnotized by sociopolitical doctrines and to accept totalitarian terror.

In this collage, it was tried to symbolize the four characters of the books (Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta) that represent the imprisonment of writers and artists who lived in this era.
The detail of the arms folded, the hand closed at the wrist and the fact that the figure is being "pushed" with another hand, accentuates the lack of freedom of expression.

Hope you like it!
Cheers!✌️
