Creative Portfolio Layout

I spent hours trying to think of a new way to display a curated portfolio of selected works on my new site's home page. This new layout really strikes a chord with me. I am displaying a featuring image in the backgrounds, and the main marks in the foreground with a brief explanation and a link to the project page.
