Blog Posts Concept

An early concept of a section containing featured blog posts. All the UI was tweaked a bit later on. I liked the idea of these floating tiles or cards transitioning on scroll. I also liked the minimal use of color to highlight and draw attention to important elements on the page. The b&w photography was a specific request from our client but rolling with it, I thought this would be a good opportunity to explore some additional use of color when hovering over specific elements.

BONUS POINTS: Each author in the post of the mockup is a drummer in a rad band. Can you name the bands they're in?
