Elderly Woman with Luggage

Elderly Woman with Luggage is the second piece in a series of "Digital Embroidery" pieces I did as a study.

During holiday with family I was able to view embroidered work my Aunt had worked on as a kid with our Grandmother. I was inspired by this craft and the pixel-art quality to it. I also noted the community and holiday subjects which is inspiration to this work.

The goal of the study was to represent the tactile feel of both the yarn used as well as the fabric canvas.

Explored adding more bright colors and a less square framing.

Would in the future like to explore the animation of the figure in a walk cycle.
