Too many startups fail to listen👂🏻 to their audience and do the proper research🕵🏻‍♀️. There are ways to save time when launching a business, but taking shortcuts with your customers will only hurt you in the long run.

At this point in history, nearly every service in almost every industry is delivered via technology. And when that technology is hard to use🤦🏻‍♂️ people bail. They will gladly pay another provider more if that product places less demand on their time or effort.

👉🏻 During my career, I’ve seen many methodologies on how to do user research. After almost 10 years in consulting startups and companies on UX strategy, I can say that 90% of frameworks are not applicable to real life🤫.

These frameworks were created by people who wanted to be seen as experts or to impress their clients by showing convoluted processes and complex documents.

Through pain and mistakes, I’ve managed to find the perfect approach to conducting user research. I know this because it works for my clients and delivers results. It’s a mash-up of different processes and used by such firms as Strategyzer, IDEO, McKinsey & Company as well as frameworks I learned at Harvard Business School.
