Vintage Train Ticket

150 years ago a train carrying the coffin of assassinated President Abraham Lincoln traveled across the country from Washington D.C. to Springfield, Illinois. The train traveled through 180 cities and seven states on its way to Lincoln’s home state. In 1911, a prairie fire near Minneapolis, Minnesota destroyed the original train car that had so famously carried the 16th President to his final resting place.

On September 10th - 13th, 2015, 150 years after President Lincoln’s final journey, a full-scale replica of the Lincoln Funeral Train visited downtown Troy, Ohio.

Winner of a Silver AAF-Dayton Hermes/ADDY Award, an Ohio Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus Middy Award and an Ohio Travel Association's Ruby Award. 🏆
