NextNav Mobile Incident Response Management

NextNav provides first responders with situational awareness for first responders. NextNav’s proprietary technology altitudinally locates firefighters, police officers, medics, and special operations teams in buildings on 3D maps.

Our team at TM was brought in to lead the product design efforts for mobile, tablet, and web interfaces. We spent weeks interviewing fire, police and EMS personnel to understand their procedures, nomenclature, preferences, and short-comings with their existing incident response workflows. Our design solutions for group management, particularly visualizing team structures on map, leaned on a familiar UX and UI patterns to reduce the friction around education and adoption.
